Happy New Year! We celebrated the start of the Year of the Rat at Shoseian Teahouse with two wonderful gatherings of tea ceremonies. May this New Year bring many joy and blessings to all!

SHAON CHAKAI | JULY 2019

The Friends of Shoseian hosted a Chakai (formal tea ceremony and meal) to share its gratitude to the Urasenke Tankokai Los Angeles Association and Hon. Consul General Chiba for their support of the recent renovations and activities at Shoseian Teahouse.

SAKURA MATSURI FESTIVAL | APRIL 2019

A very celebratory Sakura Matsuri was held this year, as the teahouse renovations are complete! Food, japanese music, tea ceremonies, martial arts demonstrations, vendors and more!
